HOKA Gaviota 2 – Men’s Motion Control Shoes

Available in 2E width from US Men’s 7.5 – 13

Colour: HOKA calls it “Moonlight Ocean / Black Iris”. To us, it looks like Navy Blue with a tinge of Green.

Premium motion-control running shoes with HOKA One One’s famous cushioning and Meta-Rockers. Bears the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) seal of acceptance, so you know your Podiatrist won’t judge you.

Recommended for Kakis with Forefoot pain, Heavy pronation, Flat feet, Bunions, Achilles tendonitis, Corns, and Calluses.

Footkaki Explains:

A wise family guy once said: “the bird is the word”.

For premium stability shoes, that word is HOKA One One’s Gaviota 2 – presumably named after seagulls for their ridiculously stable flight patterns that allow for blitzkriegs on tourists’ ice-cream cones by the Mediterranean sea. Or Bedok Jetty.

Do you find traditional stability and motion control shoes too constrictive and hard?

Yeah, that’s a common complaint preventing heavy pronators from wearing the right shoes. But that excuse doesn’t hold with the Gaviota 2, because these motion control running shoes feature HOKA’s innovative J-Frame™ technology: a dynamic dual-density construction that guides your feet against over-pronation.

For extra stability, you can count on the HOKA Gaviota 2’s plush yet firm heel counter – it helps stabilise your ankle and heel during walks and runs. There’s also HOKA’s adjustable arch lock wings that provide extra midfoot stability and support. Combine all that with a bouncy midsole made from rubberised foam, and fuyoh! You’ll enjoy the stability and comfort of HOKA’s famous cushioning – all in a running shoe that only weighs 300 grams (without insoles).

Have you got trouble with Achilles Tendonitis, Shin Splints, or Aching Calves?

The Gaviota comes with a 5mm heel lift (a.k.a heel to toe drop) to reduce strain where it matters in your limbs. There’s also a built-in bevelled heel at the rear for a smooth heel to toe transition.

Forefoot pain? Sesamoiditis?

HOKA shoes are famed for their metatarsal rockers – and the HOKA Gaviota 2 does indeed come with late-stage Meta-Rockers (i.e. the most kilat ones). The Gaviota 2 also comes with flat-waisted geometry, because it wants a stable relationship with you that only rocks in the right places.

Aiyo – Bunions? Often suffer from corns and calluses on your feet?

Kakis with broader feet need not worry! Here at Footkaki, we stock HOKA shoes in wider 2E fittings (a rare sighting indeed). These shoes also come with an upper made from engineered mesh that’s breathable, stretchable, and super gentle on your skin.

Can these shoes fit custom orthotics from your Podiatrist?

Yes! The HOKA Gaviota 2 is orthotic-friendly and comes with removable moulded Ortholite sock liners. You can easily fit customised insoles by your Podiatrist. If you don’t have customised insoles, we recommend pairing the HOKA Gaviota 2 with a pair of affordable readymade insoles from our collection.

After all, these are already pretty good and comfortable running shoes – so might as well fully utilise their benefits with good arch support, right?
